Hunny b asked:
our cats fat, he’s 17 to 20 to maybe..21 pounds. anyways when i came home from school my dad told me there were 2 dead birds in our yard and im not sure it was tiger who killed them. there are a few other cats where we live but not many more. so since my cat is so fat could he have caught them. they were a robin and a sparrow. so could my fat cat have caught the birds? thanx.

yes they are good at hunting. not as good as dogs but they are good at catching like mice and birds and other small thing that roam the yard and stuff.

Yes your cat most likely caught them. 20 lbs is big, but if his normal weight should be 15 lbs, then he is not severely overweight, so he could still be agile enough to catch birds. If your cats normal weight should be 10 lbs, and he’s seriously over weight then is is unlikely he could catch birds. Since cats are territorial, he most likely would NOT let another cat around his yard, let alone let them catch birds in HIS yard. You cat is good at bird catching!

Yup. They may be a bit slow in catching but their big fat paws makes powerful hit on its victim.

My 17 lb cat is a great hunter – it’s part of his diet problem. We have him on a restricted diet but he still catches stuff. Birds are a favorite.
