cat training tricks

The weight of cats varies greatly, depending on build and breed. I have one cat who weighs 4.8kg (about 10lbs) and he is tall and long but has a slender build and isn't at all overweight. I'm not sure how much my Somali weighs as he's not been weighed for a while and is still growing, but I think he will weigh a little less than my other cat. One eats wet food only and the other eats mostly wet food with a little good quality dry food.

A lot of cats are overweight these days and, just like with people, our perception of what is normal has changed. To check whether a cat is overweight, feel around the rib cage. You should be able to feel the ribs but not see them. You should also be able to see a 'waist' when viewed from above (obviously with long haired cats the hair length may obscure that).

cat training tip

I have 12 "indoor" cats between 2 and 11 years old. They all weigh between 5 and 12 pounds. The heaviest is also the youngest. He's also got the biggest bone structure and is taller than the rest. (He's also the top cat). They all get "indoor" or "less active" dry cat food only. Canned and regular food turns them into furry striped basketballs. (The longhairs look a lot bigger than they really are.)

cat training tricks

I have two cats one of which was a stray, 12years old (Porch Kitty). And another who is 3 years old ( Sr. Lynx). They both eat from the same food source. But one weighs @7lb, and the other weighs @25lb. The difference that I discovered b/w the two of them was that Sr. Lynx would go out to other peoples houses and beg for food as though he was starving (what a joke). And the other knew when she had enough so she never sought out an alternative food source.

siamese cat training

Whatever you're doing, you must be doing right!
Your cats seem big, healthy and well-kept.

My kitties average from about 10-14 lbs. (the ones I can carry, have a feral that I've never even touched in my cathold).
I also have cat that I just took to vet and she loss weight from 7.7 lbs. to 6 lbs. 12 oz.,.. took in because of her puking,.. the year before she was 8 lbs. But that's another story.
After well over $1200 and a few vets, this one rescue still has no known cause for her puking,.. labelled "gastro-intestinal disorder".

****BTW ~ does anyone know what "Sucralfate Suspension" is? [Vet prescribed 1 CC per day] to hopefully decrease vomiting. ?????

I'm not really sure. I keep street cats at home. My current cat now (NeeNoi) weigh 7 Kilograms and he eats four servings of steamed fish a day.

best cat training

my cat, i give it a name paulina. a 4 years old, weights about 10 lbs. paulina is very cute and respect to others. she likes to eat the normal cat eats. everyday, i bath her clean.

so you are curious about the average weight is for a pampered house cat, my cat weights not the average weight but i think it is about 24 (not sure). i think your cat is reaching the average weight.
