<a href="http://reallyfatcats.com/cat-training.php">train your cat to sit</a>

Do not starve your self(it never works, although that's the first thought that crosses anyone's mind when thinking to lose weight)Drink lots of water. Your body needs sufficient water to burn fat and keep your cells hydrated and healthy.Eat healthy, drink lots of water, have enough sleep and exercise. This will give you a higher chance of losing weight and improving your health, which would result to a new, healthier you.

Here's some other quick tips for you:

* Do not skip meals. Skipping meals slicks the body into slowing down the metabolism, attempting to conserve calories during a period where limited fats and fuel are available. Remember that eating increases the metabolism.

* Learn how to make the family favorite recipes and make sure that fats, salt, and sugar are cut out. Substitute non-fat yogurt for cream, stir-fry without oil and use herbs and spices instead of salt to taste.

* As much as possible do not remove the skins of fruits and vegetables since most of the nutrients are concentrated under the skin.

* One of the best sources of vegetable protein is from soya beans or tofu. All legumes provide some protein, so include lentils, lima beans etc into casseroles and soups.

* Remove fat by dropping ice cubes into the baking tray. Fat will stick to the ice cubes.

If you have started losing weight, just remember it's a question of will. Keep doing what your're doing, stay away from junk food and sodas, and you will feel more healthier and alive than never before.

<a href="http://reallyfatcats.com/cat-training.php">complete cat training</a>

Hi.

I don't know if you've heard about raw food diets, but they exist for cats as well.

Cats are carnivorous animals. The stuff in cat food has carbohydrates from veggies, and cats' natural diet would never contain this (except for some grass).

Do a google search on "raw fed cats".

It may be a cost issue, because you need to buy them raw meat.

They can eat raw sardines, chicken, fish, anything. But - it will be hell transitioning the cat because they get fussy when used to a food for years/

I'm gonna switch over my cat in june

<a href="http://reallyfatcats.com/cat-training.php">siamese cat training</a>

How old is your cat? If your cat is older than 8, it will be a slow process. But even a young cat can have problems with weight loss.
Cats that lose weight too rapidly can develop a condition called 'Hepatic Lipidosis' or Fatty Liver Disease. This condition is serious and many times fatal. Cats don't process fats through their livers easily. The fat from rapid weight loss deposits in the liver and causes the liver to slow, and ultimately shut down. This is life threatening.
To get your cat to lose weight is going to take work on your part. Just getting a low calorie diet won't help if you are still feeding him too much.
If you are free feeding your cat-----STOP. Free feeding causes more fat cats than anything else. Get your cat on a feeding schedule. To do this, and determine how much food your cat needs, start out with a cup of food in the morning. If the cat won't eat within 20-30 minutes, take the food away until the next scheduled time to eat. Then try again. Do not give in. He won't starve himself to death. Only give enough that he will finish in one sitting. If any food is left when he walks away, throw it out. What he ate is enough to satisfy him, give that amount at the next feeding. Do not give in when he pesters you, and believe me, he WILL pester you for more food. Getting him to exercise more is going to help, also. Start out with 5 minutes a day. Just getting him up and chasing something will help his metabolism ramp up. If he is an older cat, this process must be done extremely slowly. Get your vet's input on his health.

<a href="http://reallyfatcats.com/cat-training.php">cat training product</a>

Stop feeding kitty crack

Nutrition since there are so many bad things out there is very important to your cat’s health
Contrary to what you may have heard; dry foods are not a great thing to feed a cat.
Please read the label on what you are feeding? What are the ingredients? Do you know what they mean? Is the first ingrediant a muscle meat like chicken or meal or other things?
Dry foods are the number 1 cause of diabetes in cats as well as being a huge contributing factor to kidney disease, obesity, crystals, u.t.i’s and a host of other problems. Male cats are especially prone to blockages
from dry food. Food allergies are very common when feeding dry foods. Rashes, scabs behind the tail and on the chin are all symptoms The problems associated with Dry food is that they are loaded with grains and carbohydrates which many cats (carnivores) cannot process. Also, Most of the moisture a cat needs is suppose to be in the food but in Dry, 95% of it is zapped out of dry foods in the processing. Another thing, most use horrible ingredients and don't use a muscle meat as the primary ingredient and use vegetable based protein versus animal. Not good for an animal that has to eat meat to survive.
You want to pick a canned food w/o gravy (gravy=carbs) that uses a muscle meat as the first ingredient and doesn't have corn at least in the first 3 ingredients if at all.
THE BEST CAT FOODS CONTAIN NO GRAINS NO BYPOODUCTS NO MEAL
Cats are meat eaters not cereal or rice eaters
Fancy feast is a middle grade food with 9lives, friskies whiskas lower grade canned and wellness and merrick upper grade human quality foods. I would rather feed a middle grade canned food then the top of the line dry food.
Also, dry food is not proven to be better for teeth. Does a hard pretzel clean your teeth or do pieces of it get stuck?

Please read about cat nutrition.

Vetinarian diets The reason your vet thinks so highly of the pet food they sell probably has more to do with money than nutrition. In vet school, the only classes offered on nutrition usually last a few weeks, and are taught by representatives from the pet food companies. Vet students may also receive free food for their own dogs and cats at home. They could get an Iams notebook, a Purina purse and some free pizza.

<a href="http://reallyfatcats.com/cat-training.php">house cat training</a>

1. Get to the vet to make sure he doesn't have any underlying health problems.

2. If the vet doesn't find a cause then figure out what the cause is. Why does he eat too much? Is he stressed? bored?

3. Gradually change his food and put him on a feeding schedule. Switch him to a grain free canned food. Wellness is a great choice. Evo, some varieties of Natural Balance and Merrick are also some good choices. Feed him twice a day. Start out by going with the guidelines on the can but you will probably want to reduce it a little from there. You want to avoid shocking his system into starvation mode with an abrupt change.

4. While you work on changing his diet, try to address the cause. Spend more time petting him and playing with him (great for exercise too). If he is really high stress you could spray a little Feliway around to help calm him.

5. Don't expect it to be fast. Cats don't metabolize fat very well - it's even tougher for them than it is for us. Have patience and be persistent.

There is great advice here: On why he needs canned food, how useless diet dry food is, what to look for in a good food, and some reasons why cats over eat.

I have a fat kitty too. He is high stress and deals with it by eating. And then the more he ate the less he felt like playing and the more stress he felt... Poor guy. It's taking awhile but he's losing weight and is much more playful. He loves to be brushed, so I try to do that a lot to help him relax.
We actually did try diet dry food awhile ago. That was a huge mistake. If it did anything, it made him fatter.

<a href="http://reallyfatcats.com/cat-training.php">cat training information</a>

It depends on the cat. Some cats will eat as much or as little as you give them, others won't eat unless you give them the exact right amount.

good luck!

If she gets bites of human food, stop letting her have them. Put her on a feeding schedule and feed her a diet of high quality cat food. No need for weight loss formulas, she just needs a food made with quality ingredients. Find one without grain fillers and by products like Wellness, EVO, or Natural Balance. Here's a very good article on helping your cat reach and maintain a healthy weight. She also needs a vet check to rule out any medical problems that could be contributing to her weight gain.
