Sounds like she has worms.

If she’s big 10.5lbs isn’t that bad. It depends what kind of breed she is some cats like Macons will get fat no matter what.
Why don’t you try getting some new toys like new little mice or a lazer pointer get her running around the house some.

Only feed your cat cat food. No table food. Feed your cat once a day. I took my cat to the vet to get these instructions. Save yourself the vet bill.

put her on a diet

You have to give her less food or start giving her a half a can of wet food a day and play with her more often if your cat is kind of playful; or very playful you should buy a flashlight or use one to make a orb on the floor and she will chase it around .

Some cats just seem prone to weight gain where others aren’t, while others have conditions that cause severe weight gain. Continue to feed as you are and save up till you can afford to get some tests run by your vet. Thyroid, diabetes, these are just a couple of conditions that can cause a cat to think it is hungry all the time and gain weight while on a controlled diet. Most conditions are treatable. Although some can be expensive.

Lol I have the same worries about my fat cat (16 pounds) They had to weigh him on the dog weigher! Anyways being a fat inside cat doesn’t really shorten thier lives. My cat is currently 10 years old. I only feed him half a bowl to help him with his weight but I found getting a kitten (although it took him a bit to get use to her) made him work out more and he lost a bit but not much. I feed my cat meow mix and I don’t think its the best for him but he seems happy isn’t that all that matters really?

k first off shes crying for food because shes used to being fed a lot so stop . give her half a cup in the morning and a fourth a cup at night because it’ll give her time to digest it. try that and if that doesn’t work you might have to take her to the vet

I recently discussed food amounts for my cat with her vet. A cat that eats only kibble, needs 3/4 c a day.. no more. Cut that back a bit if you are giving your cat treats or additional canned food. Overweight cats are prone to diabetes so help your kitty by keeping her food and weight under control.
