Is it a bad thing to fatten up a cat? and can they get diabetes?

This is a serious question.
I dont like cats very much but if i ever did get one i would probably get a fat cat they look cooler and sorda remind me of garfield. So would it be a bad thing to have a cat be really round like a beach ball? Would it just be like an overweight person where they just cant run as long as other non overweight people? Also can cats get diabetes?

I did know a cat with diabetes who needed insulin injections. He was never fat. If you get a cat, make sure it has a temperament that goes along with yours. Looks aren’t as important as compatiblity.

adult cat training
An overweight cat can get all sorts of health problems, including diabetes. But it really is cruel to have an overweight cat. Garfield is only a cartoon, but a real cat who is overweight suffers from many maladies. Imagine having arthritis and being overweight. It will really hit the cat as they get older, when they are less able to cope with problems. Wear and tear on their joints will cause a lot of discomfort, and since your cat cannot tell you about it, they suffer in silence.
Imagine using the litter box when your joints are screaming out in pain. That is the cruel world of an older, overweight kitty.

cat training secrets
When they run their fat will sway under their bellies. It will have a shorter life span and less energy.

give it newborn food for ages 0-4 months it has the most fat in it but i dont reccomend making it too fat because that can kill them and they can get diabetes

Yes cats as well as dogs can get diabetes. They also (just like people) can have many health problems from being over weight.
It’s hard on their heart as well as all other major organs. It’s also hard on their joints and legs to have to carry the extra weight around.
Animals much like people are over weight sometimes and that doesn’t make them anything less…I just wouldn’t do things to purposely fatten them up.

It would be cruel to do that to a cat. Here’s what will happen:
Diabetes mellitus (sugar diabetes)
Liver disease (hepatic lipidosis)
Lameness and arthritis
Skin problems (dry, flaky skin, feline acne)
Inability to defend or groom himself.
Decreased quality and length of life
Please dont do this to an animal so you can live out a fantasy of having a real life “Garfield”. Garfield is a cartoon. In reality fat cats live miserable lives. You want Garfield, buy the stuffed toy.
