We have already cut down on feeding some, I have made a box for him to play with that has food in it for him to be trying to get the food out of the box, but it did not work too well and I was afraid that he would not get enough to eat that way. Do you have any suggestions for excercising an indoor cat more? He does have energy spurts where he runs around like a mainiac chasing the other cat. He is less than 2 years old. Has anyone ever made like a kitty treadmill or anything like that?
I do have a lazer light that he will chase after for exercise.
Ruby for a cat I would say obese! LOL He weighs 15 pounds, and he is not a huge cat frame wise. He is not so fat like some of the cat pictures and stories we have heard about. The vet does not want his food cut way back all of a sudden, as it can be more harmful with cats to do this. You are right he is a tabby kitty. Gidget my blue kitty is not overweight, but Victor my lord! I have a nice tree for them, I also have one of those things that hangs over a door that has levels in it for the cat to climb up and down inside of it. He has actually ripped the top part of it from his weight in it! Yikes. What are some kitty foods you all would suggest? Both cats hate Iams.
I want to make sure that I do everything that I can to prevent diabetes later on with him. He is awful young to be so heavy.
